Here comes some pictures from EM!

Day 4 Expiration of EM!

Expiration of EM became a hot & sweaty day. The races started with Selma's XC race at 3 x 3.0km, the temperature outside and around the track was 35 degrees with sweltering sun. Selma went out hard and low to begin with on placements around the 30 spot. The tough course and the heat made her not quite dried all the way, but had to settle with a 48 place. For the guys were very good days and Herman Larsson came in at a 62 spot and Joel Burman on a 73 spot. Team Gothia guys with Max Viklund Hellstadius the head made a nice finish with an investment of around Max 20 spot. The total score for all days ending Team Kalas Sportswear on a 32 location of 68. Herman Larsson on a 66 spot, Joel Burman 85 place & Selma Svarf on a 43 spot. For Team Gothia resulted 1:27 And the best place in the Swedish total Max was on a nice 23 spot. The week can be described as a very successful week and we have had many good experiences with us home that all club mates will be of great benefit.

Joel hadde a very heavy day and came in at a location around 100 place. Then we have had very hot weather about 35 degrees takes the heat out of their right and fills not the depots will be heavy. Selma did today week's best race and went into a place around the 35 spot. She went a similar first lap as the guys and then went into the goal. Height Skil Naden on her path is around 600 meters, which is very tough.

Day 2

Day two opens with a technology race that could prove to be very decisive. For our riders in Team Kalas went technologies so-so half a year of extra training would have been needed. Technology section has funits the competitive element in Austria for many years as an extra race before all MTB races. Our guys did it with & Add time of about 2:40 minutes but Selma was there about 4:40 minutes. It then starts the XC race in Selma's case 4:40 minutes after the first start-up girl. In XC, went well and the boys came in at 70 locations around the site Selma went well and came in at spot 42 which you get betekna wholly approved.

Day 1 Jetzt sind wir hier! :D

Hey, now I'm sitting at the hotel in Graz, and thought I'd blog a bit! Today we drove Team Relay and it started with driving a time trial of about 900 meters. And based on the results from the Time Trial, you had to start in different starting lines. There were 66 teams and each team got to pick out a cyclist who would run the time trial, and we chose Joel Burman. Joel ran on really well but was unlucky with that he fell into a steep curve, but he was quickly up and kept driving. It got some scrapes on his leg and arm, but otherwise it went well. He went into a 60:th place of 66 starters, so we had to start at the starting line 6. The first distance at Time Relay drove Herman Larsson, when he entered to the switch he lay in a place around 46:th and switched to (me) Selma Svarf, I had some bad luck and fell on a downhill slope. But it went well and I continued toward the exchange. I came in at a place around 45:th and switched to Joel Burman, he ran on well and ran into goal on a 42:th place. On the 48: th place came Team Gothia, which is another Swedish team with Max Wiklund Hellstadius, Robin Thyrstedt and a female cyclist from Turkey.

The days are very long when you go to the start area at about 9:00 o'clock and will not return to the hotel before noon around 20.00. It's been nearly 30 degrees every day and it's not cool anywhere, what you can do is drink and drink again. And water is consumed, has had a water bottle with my hand all day today, and it has been asked to fill in every five minutes.

CYKELVASAN 2012

Hello! I have just returned from Mora, where I have driven CykelVasan.  I drove in D 15-16 in youth competition class, all the youth competition class started at the same time. It started at Oxberg and crossed the finish in Mora, it was a distance of 30 km so technical but it is Budapest and roads and major trails, so you have to run all the time and there are almost no places to ride a bit slower and rest. I was with the first cluster in almost 20 kilometers, when I dropped into a hill and then each is a small gap that I could hunt down. So I hamnadee behind with another cluster, we tried all day to hunt down the pack. There was a girl in the first cluster, and one of my cluster. The last 3 kilometers were the slowest I've done, they were really tough and I was really tired. As we entered the sprint distance so I went and got the other girl with me, and I managed to beat her with a few meters. So I came in goal in second place, 20 seconds after the first girl. I was very pleased with my performance during the race, I have been a little sick before, so they made me any more satisfied.

YOUNG TEAM KALAS SWEDEN; CLOTHES

Now finally the clothes have come :D

Now finally the clothes have come, have longed really much for they to come. And here are some pictures of them, I have not really knowing how they would look like but now they are here and they became  "KALAS"! Now that I have tried the clothes, I feel that they are indeed for real, I'll actually go and compete in European Championship! I am so happy, the clothes were very stylish and comfortable. Can not wait until we go down to Austria. There will be a real experience that I will probably teach me a lot of, it's my first European Championship but I'll make sure they definitely will not be my last! My big dream has always been to be a bike pro and that dream will go down! I have since the day I started racing bike made up my mind to this, I would be best at. And not just in Sweden but all over the world, so this is a great event for me.

Mountainbike Championship in Gothenburg; Elimination (sprint)

25 JULI ELIMINATION (SPRINT)

Hey, today was the third and final day of the Championships in Gothenburg. Today was the elimination (sprint). Elimination line measuring about 1 kilometer and had two pieces of obstacles on it. The first obstacle on the track were two pieces of logs that they each had to skip and the other was a jump just before the sprint distance. It starts by running a time trial at that time was running a lap on the elimination path, then run the three best against the three worst in the heath and the 3 second best against the 3 second worst and so it goes that way. Then the first in the Heath qualified for the A and B finals, there are 6 people in each heath though we were only 8 of them so it was 6 people who went on directly to the A final. I had the fourth best time of the momentum so I went on to the A final. When we drove Heath, you would run two laps on the track instead of a revolution as they drove on tempo run, I got a pretty bad start but was up at the top right away. I lay on the top spot throughout the first lap and then every little pushed up against a tree so I ended up in third place. I was quickly up and running again, trying to hunt down, but I could not catch up with those who went before me, so I finished in third place.
So I been happy anyway. I've only taken one Championship medal before, and they were year before, when I drove in F 13-14. It was on the time trial as I then took a third place.

Mountainbike Championships in Gothenburg; Cross Country

 23 JULI CROSS COUNTRY

Hello, today started Mountain Biking Championships for young people, it opens with a Cross Country. I compete in the F 15-16  which stands for Girls 15 (born 1997) to 16 (born 1996) years old, we run 4 laps on a track measuring approximately 3 km per lap. The first part of the track was in much the same place, it was very curvy and with a lot of small hills. It was tight turns around trees all the time and down and up the hills so we each had to accelerate the speed all the time, so where the first part of the yard very hard. Then we went out on a running track of 400 meters, we ran 1 lap on it and then it turned and ran back to the every 800 meters. We then drove out the last part of the yard, it was the technical part. They drove up to a rather steep hill with a bunch of stones and then drove down a different slope with a mass of rocks and drop. We then went on turning. I lay on the top ranking in three of four laps, then a girl caught up with me and took me by the last hill. So I finished in second place! :D

Herman Larsson, Spårvägen CF

My name is Herman Larsson and i'm born on the 15th of October, 1997, so I am 14 years old now.
I started to compete in MTB when I was 12 years old, a bit later than the most of my opponents. When I started to compete I was youngest in P13-14 (Boys 13-14 years old), I did only compete in the more local and som bigger races and didn't have any big expectations on myself. But i thought it was fun so that winter i trained more to be in good shape for the following season. So the next spring when I was 13 and oldest in the class i wanted to perform more and when the season began I was in pretty good shape and I got on the podium on the most of the races. On the SM (Swedish Championships) i got a fifth place and a fourth place and i was quite proud of that. I continued to train and at that autumn I started to win some races! When that season ended i knew I needed good training during the winter as the winter training is an important base to have when the season begins again. During the winter that was, I trained more than i did the winters before, it wasn't very much but it was regulary and i vaired my training with crosscountry skiing and spinning, wich made the quality of my training pretty high. As I knew that I was going to have it though against older opponents this year in P15-16 (Boys born 97 and 96) I expected and had the ambitions to come in top 5. But I won some races this spring wich is better than expected and showed me that i've got a good training.
I was choosen to the Youth Olympic Camp this year wich was a big surprise to me as only me and three other mountainbikers was choosen. The next competition will be this years SM wich will be in Gothenburg as mentioned before, the track will be really technical with a lot of tight turns and I will race against really though opponents but I'm hoping to come in at top 5.
It will be really exciting to go to Graz to compete in the Youth European MTB Championships as I have never did something like this before
