25 JULI ELIMINATION (SPRINT)

Hey, today was the third and final day of the Championships in Gothenburg. Today was the elimination (sprint). Elimination line measuring about 1 kilometer and had two pieces of obstacles on it. The first obstacle on the track were two pieces of logs that they each had to skip and the other was a jump just before the sprint distance. It starts by running a time trial at that time was running a lap on the elimination path, then run the three best against the three worst in the heath and the 3 second best against the 3 second worst and so it goes that way. Then the first in the Heath qualified for the A and B finals, there are 6 people in each heath though we were only 8 of them so it was 6 people who went on directly to the A final. I had the fourth best time of the momentum so I went on to the A final. When we drove Heath, you would run two laps on the track instead of a revolution as they drove on tempo run, I got a pretty bad start but was up at the top right away. I lay on the top spot throughout the first lap and then every little pushed up against a tree so I ended up in third place. I was quickly up and running again, trying to hunt down, but I could not catch up with those who went before me, so I finished in third place.
So I been happy anyway. I've only taken one Championship medal before, and they were year before, when I drove in F 13-14. It was on the time trial as I then took a third place.

 23 JULI CROSS COUNTRY

Hello, today started Mountain Biking Championships for young people, it opens with a Cross Country. I compete in the F 15-16  which stands for Girls 15 (born 1997) to 16 (born 1996) years old, we run 4 laps on a track measuring approximately 3 km per lap. The first part of the track was in much the same place, it was very curvy and with a lot of small hills. It was tight turns around trees all the time and down and up the hills so we each had to accelerate the speed all the time, so where the first part of the yard very hard. Then we went out on a running track of 400 meters, we ran 1 lap on it and then it turned and ran back to the every 800 meters. We then drove out the last part of the yard, it was the technical part. They drove up to a rather steep hill with a bunch of stones and then drove down a different slope with a mass of rocks and drop. We then went on turning. I lay on the top ranking in three of four laps, then a girl caught up with me and took me by the last hill. So I finished in second place! :D

Publicerad 2012-07-21 22:36:47 i Herman Larsson,

My name is Herman Larsson and i'm born on the 15th of October, 1997, so I am 14 years old now.
I started to compete in MTB when I was 12 years old, a bit later than the most of my opponents. When I started to compete I was youngest in P13-14 (Boys 13-14 years old), I did only compete in the more local and som bigger races and didn't have any big expectations on myself. But i thought it was fun so that winter i trained more to be in good shape for the following season. So the next spring when I was 13 and oldest in the class i wanted to perform more and when the season began I was in pretty good shape and I got on the podium on the most of the races. On the SM (Swedish Championships) i got a fifth place and a fourth place and i was quite proud of that. I continued to train and at that autumn I started to win some races! When that season ended i knew I needed good training during the winter as the winter training is an important base to have when the season begins again. During the winter that was, I trained more than i did the winters before, it wasn't very much but it was regulary and i vaired my training with crosscountry skiing and spinning, wich made the quality of my training pretty high. As I knew that I was going to have it though against older opponents this year in P15-16 (Boys born 97 and 96) I expected and had the ambitions to come in top 5. But I won some races this spring wich is better than expected and showed me that i've got a good training.
I was choosen to the Youth Olympic Camp this year wich was a big surprise to me as only me and three other mountainbikers was choosen. The next competition will be this years SM wich will be in Gothenburg as mentioned before, the track will be really technical with a lot of tight turns and I will race against really though opponents but I'm hoping to come in at top 5.
It will be really exciting to go to Graz to compete in the Youth European MTB Championships as I have never did something like this before

                                         ABOUT ME

Born 2 Juli 1997 in Falun, Sweden. Grew up in Gustafs, about 30 km away from Falun. Beside riding my bike I´ve done Skiing, Floorball and Running as well.

I just drove mtb until 2010 then I started to combine Road Bike and Mountain Bike, but I did not bet on racing Road Bike until 2011. In autumn 2010 I started to drive at the Velodrome in Falun, I fell for it directly. So in the autumn I combined Velodrome and Running, and when the first snows begin to fall I started to go skiing instead of running. But I still continued to drive on the Velodrome, Of Course. So when the racingseason began, I was already in very good shape. was oldest in F13-14 and I competed in both Mountainbike and Roadbike that season, I got a few podiums.
In 2011 i did the same as last autumn I combined Running and Velodrome, but I also started to compite cyclecross. When the first snows began to fall I started to go skiing and continued with Velodrome. That winter I started to compete at the Velodrome, it was so fun. In 2012 I started the season with a Road Bike trainingcamp in Laholm, we was there for a week. It was a big step to jump from F13-14 to F15-16. And when the racingseason began was I really loaded, I won the first Mountainbike competition in Tidaholm, and I also won Borlänge Tour. I was on the podium on barely every Mountainbike competition I raced in. I was so happy, for I bet those who came before me last season. I could not believe that I would run as good as I did as youngest in F15-16. It  also went very good in road cycling, I bet many of those who came before me last season and I improved my times at timetrials that i raced the seson before with almost a minute. So I felt I had improved considerably from last season.
